10-09-09 0300hrs. Prepped for Search. 0400hrs. Drove to Wilsonville. 0515hrs. picked up Support team member Alice Charlotte.
1015hrs. Arrived on scene, Started search.
1030hrs. Lee and Wiley witnessed both SAR Dog Willow and Tyler alerting north down into Cougar Creek drainage. I explained to Wiley and Lee what the death alert meant.
1130hrs. Lee’s team located victim dead. Right where our search dogs indicated the direction and area he was in.
ACTION RECOMMENDED:.
The mutual counties that assisted in this search should reeducate their SAR Deputies. While I have total respect for the SAR Folks and their sheriff's. I have little respect for one ignorant deputy who was overheard arguing in a coffee shop with two of the local area residence yesterday about using I.K.9.S.A.R.S. services. Because "we charge for our services".
I wonder what the tax payers would say if they knew that it cost them approximately $750,000.00 dollars in air support, deputy sallaries, fuel, meals, etc, for their unsuccessful search efforts they performed for Dustin.
I.K.9.S.A.R.S. private search efforts took only 15 MINUTES with Wiley and Lee as our witnesses to determine.
1). That Mr. Dustin Gibson was deceased.
2). Where his remains were (Wind directing the death scent from the north up from Cougar Creek Drainage where his remains were located by lee’s team).

Did you bother to tell the cafe occupants that the State of Oregon charges for SAR as they see fit and have for the last 10 years?
Did you bother to tell the occupants that the National park Services charge for SAR Services?
Did you bother to tell the occupants that you're paid for your SAR work?
Shame on you for judging me. You weren't standing by my side when I worked as a deputy sheriff and pulled the 17 year old boy out of a burning car in Heppner Oregon, or the 300 lbs elk hunter shot by accident by his hunting partner during a white out blizzard as we carried him for 3 hours to a waiting ambulance and saved his life in minus 20 degree weather and chest deep snow.
You weren't standing by me when I fought for my life against a large drunk suspect who tried to stab me with a large kitchen knife after he tried to kill his own mother.
And you weren't by my side while I did CPR on the 9 year old boy who had a heart attack.
Or after we saved the life in Fall City, Oregon (That would be Polk Co. Ore.) of a missing child who had been missing for 3 days and 3 nights in 20 degree weather in the wilderness.
Yet you judge me in front of others?
Yet I was wearing a uniform, badge and did the same job you are doing now. So how can you judge me?

I also didn't see you standing by my side in the Oklahoma City Bombing,
or in the 100 degree heat in Turkey pulling live and dead people out of the earthquake rubble, or in the Philippines in 1990, or in Honduras.

Did you bother to learn that I taught SAR in Clackamas County, and Polk County Oregon for many years for FREE and also responded to HUNDRED's of calls throughout the USA for FREE?
